I am finally getting pics from my third session uploaded here. They have been on my Flickr page for quite a while, but I dropped the ball on updating my blog with the pics for those interested. As always, there are more pics up in my tattoo set on Flickr.
I am about ready for session 4, but we are going on vacation in early May, and that would not leave enough time for proper healing before we left (they recommend six weeks out of the sun, at least). So I will go for more after we get back.
Anyway, enjoy the pics, and feel free to let me know what you guys/gals think. I need to gain some weight, because I’m running out of skin.
Clutter Magazine continues their legacy of great exclusives with this fine (very pink!) colorway of the Billy Bananas figure from Tristan Eaton’s Thunderdog Studios. They’re limited to a run of 150, so they probably won’t last too long. Pictures can be seen here.
I just received my first snake bite, courtesy of Bianca (one of our larger 2004 normal ball pythons) while trying to feed her. It was more of a shock than anything. Luckily, she did not latch on or try to coil as they sometimes do. Pictures will be coming soon.
Eric posted this picture of a new Luke Chueh piece coming in 2009. It is pretty much what was expected, but I still think it is a wonderful piece that conveys Chueh’s themes from his artwork in a great new way…
I scored both versions from KAWS a few minutes ago. They were less than $100 each, which is cheaper than I expected. I wonder what the edition sizes are for each of the colorways?
The new Radiohead video for ‘House of Cards’ is incredibly cool and nerdy, using only data and lasers to produce the images. Google has a breakdown on how it was done, including a “making-of” video and some data visualization information (you can even download the data and instructions on how to make your own visualizations and share them!). Very cool…
Some folks associated with MacRumors (and others) have started a new gaming blog called touchArcade, specifically tailored to games available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It’s a minimal and clean site so far, with great information on both free and commercial games. The RSS feed shows full posts with pictures and embedded videos, which is also a welcome sight.
On the commercial side, they’ve already covered news from THQ, id, Namco, and Igloo. On the free side (the space I am more interested in watching), they have things covered too. I personally love Tap Tap Revenge (touchArcade coverage here), and Aurora Feint looks very promising though I have not yet tried it.
From one dad to all the others out there, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Father’s Day! As cliche as it sounds, it is the most difficult “job” and the most rewarding “job” at the same time. I put “job” in quotes here, because it doesn’t feel like a job to me at all…It feels like a gift, and it gives and gives…
I love you Elliot (and Jess too)…Thank you for putting up with having me as a daddy.
I want to be better about keeping this blog going, and the first thing on my to-do list is to find a nicer theme. I want a clean, simple 2-column theme that can support widgets. That’s about it. I have found several resources on Mashable and other blogs, but I thought I would ask my (few as they may be) readers for some suggestions first.
