Radiohead Non-Video Video

The new Radiohead video for ‘House of Cards’ is incredibly cool and nerdy, using only data and lasers to produce the images.  Google has a breakdown on how it was done, including a “making-of” video and some data visualization information (you can even download the data and instructions on how to make your own visualizations [...]

Cat Power/Micah P. Hinson At The Granada

My wife and I went to the Cat Power show Friday night at The Granada Theater in Dallas. We were both excited when we found out that Micah P. Hinson would be the opener.
I love the venue, which has a great old-world theater style and generally good sound. They also have what may [...]

The Last Apple Media Event Update (I Promise!)

I promise I won’t post anymore Apple-related information today. I thought I would follow-up my previous post with some links to updates and pictures (mostly from Engadget). Details on Thom Yorke’s ‘The Eraser’

Pitchfork posted a great article earlier today detailing Thom Yorke’s forthcoming “solo-ish” effort titled, “The Eraser”. This disc will be released stateside on July 11th, but this track-by-track account should whet most appetites for now.
I have heard a couple of these tracks as performed live during recent Radiohead shows that have been recorded. [...]

Danger Doom to Release Free EP

Danger Doom (that wonderfully quirky collaboration between Dangermouse and MF Doom) is planning to follow up their successful indie hip-hop Adult Swim sampling debut album with a free EP. Eight tracks will be released over the following weeks, with cameos from some of Adult Swim’s most beloved characters. I loved ‘The Mouse and [...]
